Why we built these tools
Suddl started as a place to share hair, beauty and home ideas. Over time the same practical questions kept landing in our inbox. Readers loved a shag cut on the blog but weren't sure it would suit a round face. They wanted a copper shade but didn't know if their skin leaned warm or cool. Others were halfway through a bedroom makeover and stuck at the paint counter, guessing how many gallons to buy.
So we turned the answers into tools. Each one is short, runs in your browser and explains its result in plain words, then points you to the Suddl guides that go deeper. You can use them on your phone in the salon chair, in the hardware store or out in the garden with a tape measure in hand.
How to get the best results
For the beauty tools, stand in natural daylight, pull your hair back and use a soft tape measure or a photo with a ruler beside it. For the home and garden calculators, measure twice, write the numbers down and round up rather than down. Every calculator already adds a sensible allowance for waste, so you won't need to pad the figures yourself.

No. The calculators and quizzes run entirely in your browser. Your measurements and answers are never sent to our server.

They use the same formulas contractors and paint brands publish, and they add sensible waste allowances. Treat the results as a reliable estimate, then check product labels because coverage varies between brands.
Can I use the tools on my phone?
Yes. Every tool is built for small screens first, so you can measure a room or a flower bed and type the numbers in on the spot.
